The Banshee’s Domain [open!] « Thread Started on Jan 10, 2007, 10:17pm »
Under the many wooden tree houses, which the rebel commanders, soldiers, and messengers lived, a large blue green colored tent was positioned near the bade of a large oak tree that seemed to tell its own ancient regal history. This well-sized tent was a special gathering place for the many rebel members who enjoyed some entertainment and some fun while they stayed in this dark and mysterious forest. This tent served the Rebellion camp as nothing more than a bar and a gathering place for those who liked to gamble their worthless possessions away. This bar served anything that the rebels managed to steal from the Academy or any other places that managed to steal things from-possibly even the human realm. But who knows for sure? Anyways. In this very tent, a single being ruled all the card tables, every single one, she ruled over not loosing the majority of the countless games that were place. She only lost a tiny amount of worthless games, only when she had consumed too much of the addicting liquid that the bar held but you wouldn't want to bring that up. Ever. Those rebels who came to this tent referred to the ruling being, Queen Vile.
A lone figure walked casually through the dense trees in a pair of black high heeled boots, stepping over the large snow covered tree roots that ran on the damp ground and the varying foliage that grew on the ground of the vastly large forest with a practiced ease. “Hmph” the girl spat as she stumbled slightly as her heel was caught briefly in a shallow hole in the forest’s ground. “Damn forest” the girl continued as she regained her balance and made her way through the thick towering trees. Why did that girl have to be at the watering hole?!? She was in my space and my usual spot she thought angrily as she referred to her meeting with a fellow soldier- a shape shifter named Riley- who seemed to believe that she was better than Elizabeth. Elizabeth for goodness sake! No one could be better than Queen Vile. A small venomous smile spread dangerously across her face as she reached a clearing in the trees where various colored and sized tents were set up. Hanging above the tents that the Rebellion used for a variety of reasons, lay the tree houses- the shelters of the rebels. Her tree house- a rather large one that hung in the upper mid-layer of the shelters- contained many of her possessions. One aspect of her nature was that she was quite a large packrat, to her holding on to all the things she could proved that she was some how better than any one who did not have as many things as her.
Elizabeth smiled, a true smile of joy, once her bright red eyes fell on her familiar location of vice- the blue green tent bar. A small sadistic giggle escaped from her mouth as she straightened her garments- a pair of pinstriped black and white socks that reached her upper thighs, a black skirt, a tight pinstriped low cut sleeve-less shirt, a deep grey jacket, a grey and black striped scarf, and her black boots. Yeah yeah, she did have a lot of clothes on but that was typical when you lived in the middle of a forest during cold weather but she wanted to live here and look cute doing so. After about two minutes she had fixed her outfit because it was slightly skewed from her previous walk through the opaque forest. As she continued walking her fellow rebel members- well guy members anyways- looked her up and down. This was a typical thing when she walked around and it pleased her. She had the reputation of being the arrogant seductress. She waved casually to the guys who were in the area; a small smile was evident on her slightly tanned face.
As she walked in the tent-bar she was greeted by the bar-keep, a fellow soldier who usually spent most of his time in the bar serving drinks to the other while he caught up on the daily gossip. “No one’s here yet” the soldier who could manipulate shadows said casually as he tossed Elizabeth a small bottle of raspberry flavored vodka- her poison of choice. She caught the clear bottle with a swift movement and replied with a small smile “Thanks!” Free you ask? Yes, of course. He always gave her free drinks when she went to the tent-bar because well, she brought many of the drinkers and she was a regular. She smiled as she made her way to the very back of the oversized tent- her typical table that was empty at the time. Sure it was empty. No one would dare sit at Queen Vile’s table. She sighed tiredly as she took a seat at the table’s head, her place of power at the table, so she could ponder her life for a few moments before people started to come in to play poker- her game of choice- with her.
Hmmm....true I am arrogant but not truly anyways. I do show respect to some people, like Clarence and a few of the other commanders. They are the only ones I would ever respect or listen to truly. Everyone else....heh....they are under me and one day I will rule over them she thought as she continued waiting for people to start coming. Taking a quick sip of her clear raspberry vodka straight from the bottle she smiled as he thoughts shifted to her want to become a commander. A smile came to her striking face as a few rebels came through the bar’s opening. Her red eyes watched their path as they grabbed a few drinks and sat at the Queen’s table. “Hello, boys” she said with a faint smile as she looked at the four boy’s faces. Ohh....They want to challenge me.. she thought as her red eyes searched their strong faces. “Let’s get started shall we?” she said as she quickly brushed her red hair from her eyes as she quickly dealt her own deck of ‘Las Vegas’ cards. She remained at the red maple table playing poker with the four boys as more rebels came to either watch her destroy the competition or join in the game. Yes, this was the life she loved living.

Why am I this diffrent
Frosty breath came out of his parted lips in small breaths. Keen eyes were trained on the noisy Tent-bar. His ears pricked forward with intrest as he tried to catch somewords that were being said inside. With some swift jump he was up on his feet and making his way towards the Tent-bar. His faded jeans were loosly fitted and worked well with his black hoodie that was pulled over his head. Tabby tail hung tensly behind him as he enterd the Tent-bar. Warm air greeted his face and made him smirk softly for no apparent reason.
The rippling of cards made him turn his head. A deep chuckle rose in his throat as he watched them play. Why are they even trying.. No one can beat her. Except me. His inner voice crowed. "Water." He said as he waved the bar tender over. He got a couple of weird looks from the rebals around hima nd he gave a nonchalent shrug. Carter wasnt into the drinking crap that was so addictive around here. If he wanted to keep in shape he had to stick to the water.
He propped himself in a chair not to far from where they were playing cards. His eyes watched Elizabeth deal the cards then his eyes moved tot he guys ont he table. They looked so sure and arrogent. That will soon end once she finishes him off. He added silently to himself.

Why don’t we go......
A deadly smirk grew slowly on Elizabeth’s lightly tanned and beautiful as her scarlet eyes peered into the arrogant faces of the four boys, varying in ages but the oldest-she guessed- was a tad bit older than the eighteen year old. Oh, how arrogant their cute little faces are her inner voice chimed in a tremendously sweet tone as she quickly dealt the cards to those situated at the table including her Their poor little dreams will be destroyed when I crush them instantly. “Now boys, I do hope you know the name of my game and that I play it very well and have not lost a lot” Elizabeth said in a calm tone although their was a vicious edge on the words ‘a lot’ because she detested loosing with every fiber of her being “If you don’t know how to play standard one-card draw poker, than leave right now, you are of no use to me.” Her smirk grew as the four boys maintained their seats with even more determined faces than before “Lovely” she replying a scathingly sweet tone as her bright eyes trailed over the four boys “Standard betting rules do apply in my game...after all, I am the Queen around here.” Yes, she was the Queen and those in the audience and those playing had better not forget that.
After a few minutes-more like ten minutes or so-, two of the younger boys have successfully lost all their money and even a very lovely silver chain to the elegant banshee. Too easy she thought to her self in a highly amused tone as she quickly gulped down some of her raspberry vodka straight from the bottle during a brief pause in their game. Not long after she had dealt the cards and all had exchanged their one card, a smile spread across the girl’s face “Straight flush, boys” she said in smooth tone as her bright red eyes watched the other two boy’s faces drop and the anger flare in their eyes “Too bad” she finished with a faux-sadness in her tone. Bored Bored her inner voice rang through her head as the slender banshee sighed and paused from her game to look around the crowd at the various faces that were all looking curious and intently at the heated game that was unfolding in front of their very eyes. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she spotted a familiar face in the mediocre sea of bland faces: Carter’s, the only real person who managed to best her in her own game. Why is he here? her inner voice asked viciously to herself as she brushed her bright red bangs from her face. Soon after, Elizabeth turned back to the game in front of her and successfully finished the boy’s off in a series of dangerously high ranking card groups; i.e. straight flush, full house, four of a kind. But her greatest winning hand was her finishing move that cleaned out the remaining boys of all their money: the fitting royal flush.
“Too bad boys. I do hope that I can have the pleasure of defeating and taking all your stuff again!” she said in a sickly sweet and slightly arrogant tone as she waved to the now retreating boys ho managed to escape the large tent by pushing some of the crowd out of their way. Her eyes narrowed as some other rebels came to sit with her at the table, arrogant and some unsure faces sat down. “Get up!” she said in a vicious tone as her bright red eyes seemed to bore into the three girl’s own multi-colored eyes “I did not say you could sit with me” she said in a tone that dripped of venom and was stiff with ice. Pissed? Oh yes, Queen Vile always became pissed when people decided too sit at her table without her permission. The three girl’s retreated from the wooden table with a mixture of shocked and scared faces and some of the crowd dispersed as well, knowing full well that Elizabeth never played consecutive card games unless it was a tournament. “My my Carter” she said in a calm tone as she looked up at the cat-boy “I almost didn’t see you there. You may sit down, of course.”

Carter watched her finish the boys off quickly and a laid back smile hit his face. {Now that’s not nice... Just take the kiddies stuff and throw them in the street.} He laughed in his mind. “Why Ello there Dahl.” He said in a purr like tone. The tone he saved specially for Elizabeth. Getting up in a sweeping movement he walked a few steps to a seat across from Elizabeth. “What did you get this time?” He asked referring to her ‘pocket change’ that she had won from the stupid boys.
